Author Amy Davis will present an in-depth slide show on Flickering Treasures as a guest lecturer at the Sage Academy for Lifelong Learning at Goucher. Unveiling of Flickering Treasures panels from the National Building Museum
Join us for the 98th anniversary celebration of the opening of the Royal Theater, then called the Douglass, at The Avenue Bakery. A new exhibition that includes a mural-size map, historic photos and vintage ads from 18 theaters in the Pennsylvania Ave. commercial district will be unveiled. Flickering Treasures author Amy Davis and entertainment columnist Rosa “Rambling Rose” Pryor Trusty will be on hand to sign their books. For more details visit the event page on Facebook.
The Flickering Treasures exhibition was featured at the National Building Museum from November 2018 to December 2019.
